National Library of Australia Model

Errol’s model of the National Library of Australia was made in 1962. The model itself no longer exists, but on completion, a series of photographs were commissioned to be taken by Max Dupain Studios. These prints are now held in the collections of the ACT Heritage Library and the National Library of Australia.

Note the intricate detail of the lintel in the close-up of the building’s front view, which attempted to predict how the beaten copper Tom Bass Lintel Sculpture might eventually look.
